Overview
Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is a public research university that ranks within Australia’s top ten universities. In addition to the main campus in the urban coastal city of Brisbane, Australia, QUT has three other Brisbane area campuses in Gardens Point, Kelvin Grove, and Caboolture.
Out of QUT’s 45,000 students, 7,000 come from overseas, representing over 100 different countries. Many of QUT’s lecturers or tutors have overseas work experience or international qualifications.
Each QUT course is designed in consultation with industry professionals in order to improve your post-graduate job prospects. All of QUT’s undergraduate courses involve work-integrated learning and students have the opportunity to earn courses credits through work and volunteering opportunities. QUT’s graduate employment rate exceeds the average for both Queensland and Australia. QUT also provides several career services to prepare you for the post-graduation job hunt including interactive career development programs and a career mentor program linking students with industry professionals.
QUT has a strong reputation for research. Over 85% of research conducted by QUT was ranked world class or better by the Australian government’s Excellence in Research for Australia rankings for 2010 and 2012.
QUT is home to the first Australian business school to achieve triple crown accreditation from EQUIS, AACSB and AMBA. The Financial Times ranks QUT’s Finance Masters program as the best in Australia.
