Undergraduate Admission

Welcome to the University of Utah!  This page is for students whose schooling has been outside the U.S. and are planning to obtain a bachelor’s (undergraduate) degree.

NOTE: International students may apply directly to the University of Utah.  It is not necessary to go through a private agency or pay additional fees.


Check the deadlines

Note: It is recommended that international students apply at least 60 days before the deadline.

Freshman applicants will be notified about decisions depending on their application completion date. Find the notification dates for your semester.

Transfer and second bachelor applicants will be notified on a rolling admission system soon after their applications have been processed. See the chart below for more information on transfer and second bachelor dates.

SPRING 2015 TERM

Complete by: We will begin mailing decisions in:
November 15 September

Applications submitted with all required documentation and a $30 late processing fee will be accepted until November 15.

SUMMER 2015 TERM

Complete by: We will begin mailing decisions in:
March 15 December

Applications submitted with all required documentation and a $30 late processing fee will be accepted until April 1.

FALL 2015 TERM

Complete by: We will begin mailing decisions in:
April 1 February

Applications submitted with all required documentation and a $30 late processing fee will be accepted until July 1.

Graduate Admissions

Welcome to the University of Utah!  This page is for international students seeking a Graduate degree who have the equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university, with at least a 3.0 GPA.

Pay the application fee
The international fee is $65. Some academic programs will pay the application fee for their applicants. An additional $30 late fee will apply if your application is not complete by these deadlines, even if your academic program has a later deadline: Fall: Apr. 1
Spring: Nov. 1
Summer: Mar. 15
