Overview

The profile requirements of internationally employed managers have changed dramatically in recent years.  The IUBH School of Business and Management has recognised this development as reflected in the future-oriented training it offers to interested young people as the first private, state-recognised university operating exclusively in the service sector.

With our attractive Bachelor and Master’s degree courses we want to set new standards for the new generation of management.  Our programmes are characterised by the effective transfer of subject-specific knowledge and soft skills in order to prepare our graduates for challenging management task.  The courses offered are geared fully to the expectations of international companies.

Merit Scholarship

nternational undergraduate applicants to the University of Vermont, who are out-of-state residents, are considered for these merit scholarships based upon all materials and information supplied with the application for admission:

  • Admitted students are selected for these scholarships based on their academic achievements, and those selected will receive one of the scholarships based on the level of their achievements.
  • No separate applications are required for these merit scholarships.
  • Each scholarship is awarded for four years (eight semesters) at the amount indicated.
  • Students determined to be Vermont residents are not eligible for these scholarships, and should see the section below for applicable scholarship information.
  • A cumulative 2.5 grade point average and enrollment in 12 or more credits per semester is required to remain eligible for these scholarships.

Applications received after deadlines will be considered on a space-available basis.

All applicants for federal financial aid must file the FAFSA. We recommend filing it by our February 10 priority deadline, but it must be filed for all applicants by March 1 (in the year of intended entrance to UVM).

*International first-year and transfer candidates are encouraged to apply by October 15.

  • More than 170 student clubs and organizations, including a nationally recognized debate team and a student-run newspaper, radio station, T.V. station, rescue squad, legal services and many more academic, artistic, musical, cultural, political, religious, and service clubs
  • 18 NCAA Division I Athletics teams (8 men’s and 10 women’s)
  • Additional sports: There are dozens of club sports, some of which engage in intercollegiate competition. There are more than 20 intramural sports.

Campus and Location

  • 460-acre campus located in Burlington, VT. (city population, 40,000; metro area population, 150,000)
  • 100 miles southeast of Montreal, the world’s second largest French-speaking city; 220 miles northwest of Boston; and 285 miles north of New York City
  • On-campus students live in 39 residence halls and have access to 13 dining facilities including two convenience stores and a Cyber Café
  • Libraries: main Bailey/Howe Library, Dana Medical Library, and Physics and Chemistry Library (in total 1.5 million books)
  • Off-campus grounds: one research park, four research farms; nine natural areas, including the summit of Mount Mansfield; and, on Burlington’s waterfront, the Rubenstein Ecosystem Science Laboratory in the Leahy ECHO Center for Lake Champlain
