The University of Kent recognises the family and personal loyalty shown by registration on multiple degrees by siblings, children of alumni, husband and wife studying together or alumni studying for additional degrees. Step 2 – Paid work

Most students on a course of more than six months duration will be given permission to work part-time during the term (up to 20 hours a week) and full-time during vacations, although you will probably find there is a high level of competition for many jobs. For immigration purposes, you must be able to show other sources of funding apart from your part-time work. Read more about visas.

Early payment discount

If you pay your tuition fees, in full, by 31 August you may deduct a 2% discount. Alternatively, tuition fees can be paid in two instalments- the first 50% on, or before, Registration in September and the remaining 50% on, or before 1 December. If you are registering at any other time of the year please contact the Income Office at incomeoffice@kent.ac.uk for payment dates.

If the whole year’s accommodation fees are paid by the first day of the academic year, in September, then a 2% discount may be deducted.

Our University accommodation allows you to make an easy transition to living in the UK – you don’t have to worry about finding somewhere to live and all of your basic bills, except for a TV licence, are included in the rent.

Undergraduate

Kent has a wide choice of undergraduate courses, and is a great place to study your undergraduate (Bachelor) degree.

All applications to undergraduate courses at Kent need to be submitted through UCAS. The institution code number for the University of Kent is K24 and the institution code name is KENT. Each course will have a special code including a campus code, indicating which campus the course will be taught at.

Please check carefully when completing the UCAS form whether or not the course you are applying for has a ‘campus code’ attached to it as this indicates that the course may not be run on our main Canterbury campus but rather at one of our other campuses (eg. our Medway campuses).

Deadlines:

Students from the European Union are advised to apply by 15 January.

Students from outside the European Union should aim for 15 January. However, if places are left, we may consider applications up to the 30 June.
