Scholarship

Royal Holloway is pleased to offer a number of prestigious International Excellence Scholarships to outstanding Undergraduate or Masters students each year.

Royal Holloway & Pakistan Higher Education Commission Scholarship Scheme
Royal Holloway, University of London, is delighted to collaborate with the Pakistan Higher Education Commission to enable students from Pakistan to undertake a PhD programme in any of the academic disciplines represented at the University. Each scholarship will last for three years and will consists of a tuition fee waiver provided by Royal Holloway, and an annual maintenance allowance of £9,000 and provision of a return flight to and from the UK provided on the part of the Pakistan Higher Education Commission. Applications for the Royal Holloway & Pakistan Higher Education Commission Scholarship Scheme are made directly to the Higher Education Commission. Prior to applying, candidates must have made contact with an academic supervisor at Royal Holloway who has agreed to supervise their research project, and hold a formal offer to study at the University for the Academic Year 2015/16. Applicants to Royal Holloway come from a diverse range of backgrounds and we accept a broad range of qualifications to our courses. Each applicant is considered carefully on their individual merits, but please see below for the standard minimum entry requirements for students from Pakistan.

Fees

In this section of the website you can find information on the cost of studying at Royal Holloway, as well as information on scholarships that you may be eligible to apply for.

In order for you to obtain a student visa to study in the UK, it is important that you can show the immigration agency that you can meet the costs of study and living. You may be privately funding these fees, or be covered by a scholarship scheme.

The tuition fee for UK and EU students in 2015-16 will be £9,000.

There is a different tuition fee for a year spent abroad or working in industry.

How to Apply

Royal Holloway, University of London provides courses to over 8,500 students. Its innovative courses, diverse student population and campus setting make it an attractive study destination to students from over 100 countries.

Undergraduate

Most of our undergraduate degree courses are three years in length but in some subjects we also offer four year degree courses. Many students also choose to spend a year of their undergraduate degree outside the UK studying at one of Royal Holloway’s partner universities.

Undergraduate students can choose to study one subject area in detail through a single honours degree, or to study two subject areas through a combined degree (both subject areas 50:50) or a major/minor degree. Postgraduate

Master’s degrees (MA/MSc/MBA) are normally twelve months in length and postgraduate research degrees (MPhil/PhD) normally take three or four years to complete.
